1 Hiker team (1 Hiker + 4 Fundraisers) with 10 cards filled @ average € 250 per card = € 2,500

The Hikers Challenge:

Starting at Molloy’s House in Tourmakeady, the Mountain Hikers begin their Hike and cross the mountains over Derryveeney. The Mountain Hikers will follow an age-old pilgrimage trail from Tourmakeady to Croagh Patrick and walk to the foot of Croagh Patrick on the Drummin side.

Once the Mountain Hikers reach the foot of Croagh Patrick on the Drummin side, they will take a rest and freshen up before beginning the climb. All Fundraisers will if possible, join the Mountain Hikers at this point, to climb Croagh Patrick together. This will ensure that all people involved in the event will climb Croagh Patrick itself and be united as one Hiking team for this part of the challenge.

After climbing Croagh Patrick, the Mountain Hikers will descend to bottom of Croagh Patrick on the Clew Bay side and walk to Pat Gibbons Holiday House in Murrisk. Pat is a friend of the Molloy’s in Chicago and has very kindly offered to provide washing & sleeping facilities, food, refreshments & entertainment on site for all involved.
